Unhappy in Your Marriage ?- Suffering Silently Could Kill You

February 2005- A recent study from the States showed that unhappily married women who "avoided conflict-keeping their feelings hidden" were four times more likely to die than those who expressed their feelings.

The researchers concluded that further studies need to be conducted that would explain what "self-silencing" does to our bodies.

There you have it- medical evidence that stuffing down your opinions, feelings, and thoughts causes a negative reaction in our bodies. Now more than ever, it is critical for women to dispel the myths that are causing us harm. Here's a news flash - nice girls DO get angry and anger is not always negative. Anger is very appropriate when it is at the right time, to the right degree, at the right person, the right purpose, and for the positive force of the good. If getting angry at your spouse will enable a positive change for the good then go for it! If you are just starting down this scary path, seek the help of a counsellor to provide you with the tools you need. The counselling session allows for an open airing of feelings in a secure and safe environment.

Remember- it is now a proven medical fact- stuffing stuff is bad!
